Well I just blew out the teeth on my diff and snapped another axle shaft at the same time.
[Q]
I need some suggestions friends, does anyone make some stouter axle shafts besides the beefier tamiya ones? also is anyone running RC4WD's TracGear Spool Locker ? Is there another option for that as well? I am apparently putting out some power here? I wasn't bound up that bad or anything actually at all, but it happened none the less

Blackfoot stubshafts are not going to help your situation.

There are no other shafts for the TLT axle currently. In fact as a replacement, there is only one option and that is the beefier ones that Tamiya sells but is currently out of. Buy a few sets and keep them handy.

What will help you is to go and get some teflon shims that Traxxas makes and shim the ring and pinions. The fact is the metal that the diff parts is made of is cheap crap. And the tolerances are pretty wide. So by shimming them you force the gears together making them mesh tighter. This will help minimize the teeth breaking and wearing away. It will not however make it go away forever.

the whole thing is shot to hell. thats what I get for trying to do a little night crawling and having some fun. I ordered the whole diff from RCP last night got a couple of them. those should be here pretty quick fortunately I still have another axle so I should be good for the weekend hopefully but I know I'll blow the shaft again this thing just has a bunch of torque and those axle shafts are the only weak point.

If they are the beefier Max Climber ones, I will take them from you. How much you want for them?
