I need some suggestions friends, does anyone make some stouter axle shafts besides the beefier tamiya ones? also is anyone running RC4WD's TracGear Spool Locker ? Is there another option for that as well? I am apparently putting out some power here? I wasn't bound up that bad or anything actually at all, but it happened none the less

CRUSHER1 said:Blackfoot stubshafts are not going to help your situation. SpEcLeDx2 said:There are no other shafts for the TLT axle currently. In fact as a replacement, there is only one option and that is the beefier ones that Tamiya sells but is currently out of. Buy a few sets and keep them handy. ![]()
What will help you is to go and get some teflon shims that Traxxas makes and shim the ring and pinions. The fact is the metal that the diff parts is made of is cheap crap. And the tolerances are pretty wide. So by shimming them you force the gears together making them mesh tighter. This will help minimize the teeth breaking and wearing away. It will not however make it go away forever.
