This seems to be the same as I have described on this thread
[Q]

There's something missing in the repo version, the python-awn bindings - the problem is the applet is unable to import the module "awn". I think this is something Reacocard, the maintainer of the repo needs to look at.

Same - installed from source, bling-switcher (and the other python applets) work but not clock.
[Q]

Having installed _so_ many dependencies for -dev packages, I can't imagine we narrow things down much for Reacocard!
[Q]

[edit]Actually, looking through file listings of the debs, it appears that a file libawn.la is not installed by the packages but is when I compile (it's in /usr/local/lib, along with libawn.so)

And for the clock, you must uncheck the digital mode in gconf-editor

Because you need to add the applet, and after uncheck the digital mode of the last entry in gconf-editor. After, restart AWN.

::EDIT
I didn't know it was using cairo-clock and I just trying to run that and all I get is a white box on my desktop, so obviously I have a problem with cairo and am looking for packages, am totally not familer with cairo so I guess let me know if you have any ideas as I'm sure this is the problem eh?

Having similar problems, actually had all KINDS of problems and have been posting and deleting threads but now I'm stuck on this same problem. I had used the repo's, totally uninstalled, got the bzr awn and the awn-extras made them both with no problems that I know of. (Novice user here) when I add clock, it resizes the bar like it's going to show it then disappears. I tried to add it, then I started gconf-editor and did a find for digital and unchecked them, still no luck. the stack plugin acts kind of strange also, it takes a minute to appear, then it's just my home directory? if I right click on stacker and click properties it dissapears or if I try to stack something on it, not really sure how to use it so not too worried about it. :)
[Q]

I'm really new to linux AND awn so sorry, here's what the clock gives me. I Notice blingswitcher complains but seems to work great with no problems. am using ubuntu 7.04 with beryl. Thanks guys.

In a boost to animal welfare activists looking to get livestock out of cramped cages, Burger King will be the first major U.S. fast-food air jordan pas cher chain to give all of its chickens and pigs some room to roam.
[Q]

On Wednesday, the world's second-biggest burger chain pledged that all of its eggs and pork will come from cage-free chickens and pigs by 2017, hoping to satisfy rising consumer demand for humanely produced fare and increase its sales in the process.
[Q]

Other companies have made similar but less broad announcements this year, part of an industrywide shift to consider animal welfare when buying food supplies.
[Q]

"Even if you're buying a nike air max burger, you want to buy it from someone you like and respect," said food industry analyst Phil Lempert, who writes a daily industry newsletter. "It's proven that consumers are willing to pay a little bit more for fairness, whether it's to humans or animals."
[Q]

Conventionally raised eggs come from hens confined in "battery cages," nike air max pas cher which give them roughly the same space as a sheet of standard notebook paper. Most pork comes from sows confined during their four-month pregnancies in narrow crates.
[Q]

The hens would still nike pas cher be housed in a barn, but they have room to move and perches and nesting boxes. Sows are also held indoors, but they would not be confined in the cramped crates while they are pregnant.
[Q]

Egg and pork producers have argued that easing confinement standards for animals raises nike air max production costs and makes those who adjust their practices less competitive.
[Q]

Animal welfare groups applauded Burger King's decision.
[Q]

"So many tens of thousands of animals will now be in better living conditions," said Wayne Pacelle, president of the Humane Society of nike air max chaussures the United States, which has been pushing Burger King and other companies to adopt similar policies. "Numerically, this is significant because Burger King is such a big purchaser of these products."
