LibreOffice Icons
#26460 by jeremyafrank (0.2458) posted on 8:20am Wednesday, October 13th, 2010

I remember there just to be a bug with OpenOffice where the icons on AWN would display wrong (in my case, they were the corresponding Tango document ie writer would be the text document etc) and that even if you could change the icon, it would be one icon for the whole office suite.
[Q]

I know that that got fixed, and it works beautifully now. I have distinct user-selected icons for each OpenOffice program. However, I now also have the newest betas for LibreOffice and that particular suite seems to be suffering from this original problem. Can that same patch be applied upstream to fix it?

Fixed in rev 753. Well, at least it's working with the installation from the Debian packages.

Ok, so in this latest release I see the Customize Icon option for LibreOffice, but I select my icon and it doesn't change. Note I'm using Application-Specified icons. It DOES change for Best Quality, but that messes with a bunch of my other icons, like Pidgin conversations and Prism webapps.
[Q]

The proper icon comes up in my /awn-theme/scalable folder.

The most recent release hasn't fixed the LibreOffice icon issue, and actually reset the OpenOffice icon fix so they're both just displaying the Tango document icon.
[Q]

I should mention that I'm using a .deb release of the new LibreOffice beta 3.
[Q]

EDIT: Ooops, disregard that thing about OpenOffice. I guess that one is still working after all.

Which build of each do you use? I'm using the Avant tester PPA and and the gericom PPA for LibreOffice. Do you think a complete purge and reconfiguration of Avant on my system might do the trick?

I build trunk from source on Debian unstable/experimental. No, purge and reconfig will not help. The openoffice support has _awlays_ been fiddly and somewhat dist specific.

WELLINGTON--The euro and the Australian dollar got a strong boost early Monday after Spain secured a EUR100 billion bailout agreement from the European Union to boost the capital of its battered banks and China's weekend lancel sac pas cher economic data turned out to be far less dire than markets had feared following its surprise rate cut late last week.
[Q]

Market participants said the relief rally may persist for the next few days, but warned that concerns about Greek elections this Sunday will soon start to weigh on the mood.
[Q]

The euro jumped to US$1.2669 early in New Zealand from US$1.2517 late Friday in New York while the Australian dollar nudged above pas cher lancel parity to a high of US$1.0009 versus US$0.9860 late Friday in Australia.
[Q]

Spanish Finance Minister Luis de Guindos said Saturday the European Union will grant Spain a loan of up to EUR100 billion that the government will funnel to banks that need capital. Euro-zone finance ministers said they lancel pas cher welcomed the Spanish step, saying the sum "must cover estimated capital requirements with an additional safety margin."
[Q]

The news is "positive as it's just another ring-fencing of the whole contagion fear aspect," said Auckland-based HiFX Senior Trader Stuart Ive. He added, however, that "it's all about timing" and the EU has likely decided to act given the proximity of the Greek election adjani sac this Sunday and its uncertain outcome.
[Q]

The Australian dollar also benefited from the Spain news, but ASB Economist Jane Turner said thin liquidity due to a public holiday in most Australian states meant moves were likely to be choppy. She said recent strong data in Australia have meant that investors have pared back expectations of further rate cuts "which Louis vuitton sac pas cher is one factor that is going to continue to provide the Australian dollar with some support this week."
[Q]

But while positive sentiment will likely continue for the next few days, Ms. Turner said "we are expecting it to remain relatively short-lived as by the end of the week we are expecting the market focus to return back to the Greek elections."

A mixed batch of Chinese soldes sac LanceL data over the weekend, which showed slower inflation and sluggish industrial production but strong readings on exports and imports, soothed concerns about an imminent hard landing in China's economy.
