Invalid Launchers

I'm getting a problem involving launchers. Every time I try to add a launcher through drag and drop or by manually giving it the information, it always shows up as an invalid launcher after I do it. The icon will show up on the dock and it works, but as soon as I reboot it will disappear. Any ideas? :)

Are you deleting/moving the launcher after the drag and drop?

I mean are you deleting/moving the launcher at their source. Where do you drag and drop the launchers from?

same problem. The AWN manager is on the bar. When I try to drag and drop, the icon shows a plus sign but nothing appears. In the Awn manager, under applets, it shows up as invalid launcher. Doesn't matter what icon I try to add.
